Filipinos who are looking for job opportunities abroad can now look for openings at Kuwait as the country’s national flight carrier intends to hire around 459 skilled Filipino workers, as part of its expansion programme according to a report by ABS CBN News.

Kuwait Airways Looks to Hire More Skilled Filipino Workers
According to talent acquisition manager of Kuwait Airways, Athbi Salah al-Sheeha, the company is looking to get highly skilled, highly committed and hardworking individuals.
Kuwait Airways is looking to fill in positions for the following:
- assistant cargo officer,
- assistant load control,
- assistant traffic officer,
- Baggage sorter.
- cargo coordinator,
- cargo operator, and
- traffic officer among others
As part of the compensation package, successful applicants will also receive food allowance and accommodation. Their transportation for employment in Kuwait shall also be covered, and will be given free ticket back home upon completion of their two-year employment contract.
This has been the biggest job order from the Gulf State since the deployment ban has been lifted back in May. If this is indicative of how bilateral ties are improving between the two nations, then things might look brighter for OFWs in Kuwait and Filipinos looking for job overseas, in general.

In line with this, Assistant Labor Attache Teresa Olgado of the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) reminded interested applicants to only coordinate with licensed agencies with approved job order issued by the POEA, and to be wary of fixers.
The Kuwait Airways Recruitment team will be coming to Manila within the week to hold interviews with potential applicants from November 4 to November 15.
