Schools and universities will be closed for 2 weeks due to the COVID-19 outbreak, which so far, has over 26 cases in the country. According to an announcement by Tareq Al-Merzem, head of the Kuwait’s Center for Government Communication, the decision to suspend classes was made at a cabinet meeting on Feb 26.
The suspension of schools will begin on March 1 to March 12, 2020.

Official: Kuwait’s schools, universities suspended for 2 weeks
Studying will be suspended for two weeks at schools and universities in throughout Kuwait starting on March first, said a gov’t spokesman Wednesday.
Tareq Al-Merzem, head of the Kuwait’s Center for Government Communication (CGC) and government spokesman, said that the decision was made at the cabinet meeting today.
The suspension includes students and members of the teaching staff, he indicated.
