Those who are planning to fly from Kuwait to Manila, please be advised that one of the airline carriers in the Philippines (Cebu Pacific) will stop their flight operations in June.
Cebu Pacific will cease their direct flights between Manila to Kuwait as it is deemed not sustainable passengers are advised to find other options to fly to and from these two destinations.
Cebu Pacific Airlines Suspends Flights between Manila and Kuwait
The last trip from Manila to Kuwait will be on June 13 and last return trip from Kuwait to Manila will be on is June 14. Passengers booked to Kuwait may choose to move travel dates earlier or rebook with other airlines. Other options are full refund, or a travel fund for a future trip.
“Of late, other carriers have aggressively added more flights, which has resulted in substantial oversupply of seats and fares that are so low,” says Cebu Pacific Vice President for Corporate Affairs JR Mantaring disclosing to Philippine Stock Exchange why the route to Kuwait is no longer viable.
Flights to Doha and Riyadh Also Cancelled
Aside from Kuwait, other flight services that will also be suspended are those of Riyadh (in Saudi Arabia) and Doha (in Qatar). Aircrafts used for the services for both cities and Kuwait will be re-deployed to routes where demand can be stimulated and low fares can be sustained according to Mantaring.
So to those who are thinking to these Middle Eastern cities, please be advised of the flight plan changes by Cebu Pacific and you may opt to find other options for direct flights to these destinations.
