OWWA – OWO Kuwait is urging OFWs to register for the OWWA E-Card, a government-issued ID that also unlocks OWWA services and partner discounts, before an Alagang OWWA event runs October 26 to November 22.
The OWWA – OWO Kuwait has taken to Facebook to urge more Kuwait-based OFWs to register for the OWWA E-Card ahead of an Alagang OWWA event running October 26 to November 22 in Sabah Al Salem and Farwaniya. The post also said that 6,683 OFWs in Kuwait had signed up, but the registration remains open through a QR code and an online link, and registrants should go to either venue only after receiving a Confirmation Email.
How to Register

To register for an OWWA E-card, you simply need to follow these steps:
Step 1. Scan the QR code on OWWA’s poster, or use this link: E-Card Application Form

Step 2. Check your registered email from October 15 to 25 for the Event Pass.
Step 3. Go to the venue only after the Confirmation Email arrives.
Alagang OWWA Events in Kuwait
The OWWA e-card registration is the first step to access the Alagang OWWA events. The event is split across two areas of Kuwait, so you might want to check which dates and venues apply to you once your Event Pass arrives via email from October 15 to 25.
The first and longest leg is at the Philippine Embassy Tent in Sabah Al Salem, from October 26 to November 19. The Philippine Embassy is at Building 257, Street 213, Block 2, Sabah Al Salem. The event then moves to the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Farwaniya for the final three days:
- November 20–21: Al Barakah Hall
- November 22: Al Murjan Hall
What OFWs are Asking
The Facebook post drew questions from OFWs who had registered earlier. One said she signed up in November 2025 and still has no card in hand. Another asked where to claim it. OWWA – OWO Kuwait told them to watch their email between October 15 and 25, since the message will say where to collect the e-card.
Some questions went unanswered. A member who already has an e-card in the eGov app asked if she still needs to register for a physical copy. Another has an expired ID but an active, renewed membership and wondered whether she needs a new card.
A third asked if renewing membership also renews the card. The post did not address these questions but OWWA’s FAQs did say expired memberships are handled at OWWA Regional Welfare Offices or at satellite offices in DMW Ortigas and NAIA Terminals 1 and 3.
One commenter, who has used his card for almost two years, asked whether it is still worth having. The office did not respond to that in the post, but the OWWA website did provide a list of e-card perks in Kuwait.

E-Card Perks
The OWWA E-Card is proof of active membership, and it is also recognized as a government-issued ID. You can show it at any Migrant Workers Office, embassy, or consulate abroad when you need help as it gives the holders faster access to OWWA programs and services, a permanent OWWA/OFW membership number, and a digital copy in the OWWA Mobile App that works like the physical card.
E-card holders in Kuwait can also use the card to enjoy the following perks:
- LBC Express: sea cargo from KWD 1.000 for small and medium boxes, plus 10% off for permanently returning OFWs sending at least five boxes
- Jollibee and Chowking Kuwait: 10% off meals, up to KWD 20 of food, for dine-in and take-out only
- Itea: 20% off dine-in, take-out, and delivery, using the promo code OWWAKWT for delivery
- Al Rashed International Travel: 20% off travel and tour packages
- Metro Medical Group: 20% off various medical services and 2.5% off at the pharmacy
- Grantos Medical Unit: 50% off consultation and medical services, and 20% off laboratory tests
Hotels, dental and optical centers, a salon, UAE Exchange, and Ooredoo are also on the list, among others.
